The second Commission 3 “Integrated Urban Governance” took place between the 5 and 6 October 2010 and counted on the participation of 38 Metropolis’ member cities and 4 external partners. The first day of the meeting afforded participants a global vision of urban governance in the form of case studies and outstanding speeches from various cities and institutions. In collaboration with Berlin, which presides the Commission, the city of Barcelona also organized a round-table session on “Integrated Management of Urban Networks to Foster Social Inclusion”, as well as a technical visit to one of its most outstanding projects, the Raval Social Services Center. During the second day, of a more internal nature and targeted at Commission members, there was a discussion about the manual the Commission will present at the Metropolis World Congress in Cairo, to be held from 4 to 7 April 2011.
